Brazing Services

As a customer-focused manufacturing company, at Mid-West Screw Products we offer in-house brazing services to expedite production and delivery of small metal components. Inside our brazing department, we operate freehand equipment, as well as automated work cells, to join parts with dimensions of up to 1.5” in diameter x 14.0” in length. With our production brazing capabilities, we keep tight control over tolerances and create joints that have a clean appearance and need no secondary finishing. Our experience covers all primary brazing methods, including active, induction, torch, and silver solder. Soldering will also work in this equipment for specific applications.

Brazing enables us to create strong bonds between the same, or different, metals at a high rate of accuracy and repeatability. Along with brass, carbide, and carbon steel, materials we process include copper, silver, and tungsten. We design and build custom fixtures in-house to ensure repeatable accuracy. Surface preparation includes proper cleaning to ensure all surfaces are oxide-free so we can produce clean, strong joints with a smooth bead.
